As many of my friends and family know, New York City is my adopted home-away-from-home. If there's such a thing as "past lives," I bet I spent one or two of them living in the Big Apple. The first time I went there was in June of 2002. The city was still reeling from the shock of 9-11. After being there for only a few hours, I could understand why this city was the target. It's the heart, the epicenter, of everything that is the United States. It's energy, and commerce, and hustle, and bustle. And it's people. Oh, the people! From every walk of life and every culture on the planet, New York is people. I spent 5 days there that first trip. I breathed it all in and couldn't get enough. I knew I'd be back... soon and often. I've been there about a dozen times now, not nearly enough, and every time the plane touches down I nearly burst from happiness. I feel like I'm home. When I leave, I'm overcome with a sense of sadness, wondering how long it will be before I return.

This is a wonderful site! I have always loved the NYC shots you've done. Can't wait for the food photos. Those are so incredible.
