Gettin' Crabby

Dave bought some fresh crab legs at our local Costco Seafood Road Show and decided he would try cooking them on the bar-b-que tonight.

Since it's not acceptable to only eat crab legs for
dinner, I decided to add some beautiful, fresh asparagus to the menu...
Hey!! How did that Crack Head get in there???
I decided I needed a Black and Tan before proceeding any further...

Now, isn't that the most perfect Black and Tan you've ever seen? (Hey, how'd that "LagerHead Turtle" Black and Tan making contraption get in there???  CHEATER!)

Shela and Lilly can tell something GOOOOOD is being fired up on the Barbie on the upstairs deck...

Yummmmmm... looks like they're right!

So, Black and Tan in hand, I can now focus on preparing the asparagus according to a recipe I found in a cooking magazine.  Doesn't this photo from the magazine look delicious?

I compared the photo in the recipe book to make sure I had the correct cooking utensils...

Looks like a perfect set-up to me!!

But, wait, something seems wrong to Rosie....

When I took my special grilling pan outside to put the asparagus in, here's what I found...

Hmmmm, let me get that magazine picture again just to make a comparison...
Nope.  Doesn't quite look the same.  I guess Dave had a different idea about how to grill the asparagus!

Looks like it's time for him to turn it over to grill the other side now:

???!

Dave used a sharp knife to cut through the hard shells of the crab legs.
This made it a lot easier to get the meat out.

Lemon butter is almost done simmering.  Time to eat!

Hey!  What about US!!!???  No FAIR!!!
